Gem mining is a hands-on, interactive experience where you sift through a bag of mining rough (called “pay dirt”) using water and a sluice to uncover real gemstones and fossils. It’s part treasure hunt, part discovery—and fun for all ages!

Reservations are not required. Gem mining is an independent, self-guided experience. Stop into The Studio to purchase your mining rough, then head outside to pan for gems, snap photos alongside our mural, and enjoy the experience at your own pace.

Pricing is based on the size/type of mining rough bag you choose. We offer a variety of options to fit different budgets and group sizes. Each bag contains a unique mix of gemstones and/or fossils.
