Go behind the scenes and learn the art of ceramic slipcasting in this three-week hands-on series led by Hamilton Ceramics. Over the course of three classes, you'll experience the complete process of creating a ceramic piece from pouring the mold to finishing and glazing your work.
Week 1: Learn the fundamentals of slipcasting and pour your own mold.
Week 2: Clean mold seams, refine your piece, and restore texture and details.
Week 3: Paint and glaze your finished pottery before it's kiln fired.
We will overglaze and kiln fire your creation. Completed pieces will be ready for pick up 5-10 days following the final class date.
The price of this class varies based on the mold you choose to pour. Pieces can be selected on Hamilton Ceramics page, click here.
One person per series can pour each mold. You will enter your preferred piece at registration and receive confirmation within 24 hours. As molds become unavailable for this slipcast series, they will appear as “sold out” on Hamilton Ceramics page.
Registration includes 3 classes with complete instruction, 1 bisque firing, 1 glaze firing, and priceless memories. The price for your pottery piece is in addition to the registration fee and reflects the pricing on Hamilton Ceramics webpage.
